Here is a new Crow style hunting or utility bag that I just completed. It is also posted in the art forum, but it seemed like a good fit for the braintan forum. The beadwork panel is 7"x9" and is based on a vintage example. It is done up in 11/0 German and French beads on canvas, which I transferred to the braintan. The raw canvas edges are covered by the lazy stitch lanes that border all four sides. The shoulder sash is from a tubed otter that has been cut into 3" wide strips and backed with wool from a vintage US Navy uniform. The sequins across the top are the old, large brass type that are getting hard to find. Many vintage examples of these bags use a wool panel in lieu of fringe, but I was short on wool and long on braintan, so fringe it is.
