I have gotten interested in replicating points from the Adams Clovis site, which often display flat overface flaking and are edged by steep retouch. Here is a sample of my results so far.
The grey piece is raw georgetown, about 5 mm thick. The other two are hornstone. Are any of you familiar with similar flaking patterns, apart from the hornstone sources of Tennessee and Kentucky? My Overstreet book shows several examples from TN and KY.
Input will be appreciated!
