i dont have access to my tbbs and need some info on the piking formula in tillering chapter.i need to pike to raise weight and cant remember formula

Jim Hamm goes into it in great detail, but the short story is every 1% of bowlength cut off adds 5% bow weight. I'm sure you can calculate the rest without examples. Hope this answers your question.

For each 1% of the length cut off,the weight will go up approxi9mately5%.Divide the weight you want,by the weight you have.The figure to the right of the decimal,is the % increase you wantDivide this decimal figure by 5 to yield the percentage the bow should be shortened.Multiply this figure by the bows length,to give the amount to be cut off.Take half of this amount from each end.
