It all started with some clay. The trick to using SoCal adobe is to break it into small chunks, soak, break into smaller chunks, stir, then slather onto your chosen surface. The slurry stuff at the bottom of the wheelbarrow is what you use to fill voids and uneven surfaces. Hands too rough? This is how a man exfoliates.
First burn sealed it up nice and hot. Threw on some welding gloves and further-compacted the hot clay;. Hard as rock by nightfall.
Nice and roomy and, doubles as a charcoal retort for stuff too big to swing an axe through.
