Outstanding! America is chock full of amazing guys like this, knifemaker Matt Lesniewski, and Tinny the stove guy spring to mind (and a lot of the guys on this
site too), but you only ever get to hear about Dancing with the Stars and America's Next Supermodel. Real role models are still out there despite the
efforts of the consumer cult to obliterate them. If Ed Scott was Japanese he'd be deemed to be a "living national treasure".
Ehhhh! Sorry....came over all political there. Thanks very much for posting these brilliant links. |

Sorry, this is going to mean nothing to people who aren't British, and were born after about 1972, but doesn't he remind you a lot of Jack
Hargreaves?...'Out of Town' and all that...Even smokes a pipe.
Jack Hargreaves was an English countryside Guru who was on our tv's until anti hunting , anti countryside tv executives spoilt our media.. I'm ranting as well now... watched this link again at work this afternoon (boss was out !)...great!! Keith |

He and eight other as he told, know how to make a bow that put the stored energy in brace to an arrow. And that done with TB. Very good done.

The man is very interesting, and should be a national treasure.
I saw he put TB on the back of the bow, but what glue was he using to stick the strands of sinew on ? Thanks for posting Matthias. |

Who knows? A coat of TB should prevent the natural glue bond with the wood. And is not authentic in any way. But it has not to be

Thats Titebond hide glue or what? The bottle color looking TBIII, but dont think He use that. I think it doesent need so much drying time as He told. But dont
know how it works, newer use TB III yet.
Hide glue or sturgeon glue gives the best result with sinew and I m shure in this. Like to see more riports like this with bowyers like him . Great man! |

BTW, would it be possible for the administrators to get this video in the archives so we could go and look it up anytime we like ?

Manny, as far as I know, even in the archive, pictures and videos arte not stored permanently on the yuku server but on the members' hoster. Thus they can
still be removed or deleted by its owner.
You can however download youtube videos for free onto you PC. Google for "free youtube download". This should give you a variety of freeware that allows you to permanently store the videos on you PC. |
