I have my airfare and hopefully the accomodation costs saved and I just need to book the airfare!! Will it be possible? Will it be two weeks? Will it be in the same place? I'm going next month. I suppose technically it is work, but it'll not seem like that. Two weekend leather craft courses back to back with the week between visiting people and planning, and planning and planning some more. PrimWay was born out of the gathering. It will give us the opportunity to do a number of things. 1) Run a small business doing what we love doing anyway. 2) Putting something back into the community. 3) Allowing us to plan more efficient gatherings in the future. Anyway, we shall discuss how we can make the 2010 gathering better than last year. We will plan different activities of course, but this time we will take steps to ensure there are sufficient tools, materials and equipment for everyone who wishes, to make sure they can undertake and finish their projects. We will also plan the catering options, so those attending can have their personal tastes accommodated better. I think two weeks will be a fair balance. We could have done with three weeks last time, but we started late on some things. Next time we will have everything in place in good time. Keep this thread going though, and chip in with ideas, desires and requests. That way we can build up the "big picture" and make it even better than last year. Somewhere safe, somewhere to shoot different distances, up to maybe 60 metres with a safe overshoot where arrows are not too hard to find. Some staw bales would make reasonable cheap targets. This would maybe clear a little more space in the garden work area for crafts,bow making etc. At times it was a little exciting with people working too close to each other with axes while people were also shooting.

The funny thing is there is such a place there, close enough. We just had no time to go there.... can't tell how it happened . It is an abandoned Roman road, just 2 min away, up on the same hill, in the forest. I have a photo of the place even, took it last spring when we visited there to seek where to accommodate. Yes, we have to find 2 - 3 straw bales and bring them there. It won't be easy in June, but I didn't say it is impossible . Good thing is - there will be shadow in the forest and it won't be hot, even during the day, so we could arrange some Archery plays there. Oh my, can't wait to go there again!!! Hey, Florin! Nice to hear from you again! Send my regards to Claudia, please! About that road - I thought we could arrange there some targets for a tournament, we even printed the targets, there are several animals on huge paper sheets. We thought we will take some carton boxes from Gabrovo and stick the sheets on them. Again - we had no time to use them. Another idea we just couldn't fulfill is going at some of the glades, which are 2 - 3 km away, on the road to Bojenci. We could do it with one or two cars, driving there all people at several tours. The glades are large, we could play a lot there. They are surrounded by forest, where we could hide in the shadows, take some food and spend a half day, making picnic there. We talked with Ken we will do it even, but you know we had to leave earlier. Next time guys, we will start the first day arranging the archery field, because the other working places are settled in general, we know the place and we won't lose time to think out "where and what". It's cold here, there is snow on the Vitosha mountain already and it is so heartwarming to dream about the next summer!! Iliana www.PrimWay.net

It's cold here, there is snow on the Vitosha mountain already and it is so heartwarming to dream about the next summer!! I hope that now in the winter you`ll get some ash logs for next summer. I could book a flight from London to Sophia on Sat 5th June, returing Sat 19th June for £74, or 82 Euros, or $122 USD. Very good deal with British Airways that also includes archery gear. Am I over eager?!

Sorry my belated reply, I was very busy these days, lots is going on here Yes, we talked with Eric about the dates and we would suggest the two weeks between 20th June and 4th July 2010 The reason we make it some later in June is that I'll have to be at home on 17 th (the date of my dad's funeral). It would be great if you can find cheaper flights now!! 20 June is Sunday and the intention is to gather in Sofia and head to Bojenci. Even if some of you will land on 19. How about others? Kosio, sometimes I have been thinking about chaining Anis too, specially when I remember my own youth. And I think you did just the right thing. Sometimes there could be something even more important than bow building.
