Here's a link to the Grgas's web site, with a calendar of events. Two fun shoots are coming up. One is up near Mammoth at the end of the month (July
25-26), put on by the Eastern Sierra Bowmen. Big John told me last year he wouldn't be setting up the targets anymore... Might mean the shoot gets
cancelled, might mean the shots are less interesting... Who knows? I'll update if I get any info. Barbara and I may go, as we got engaged after this
shoot last year...
Cherry Valley's Big Bear shoot is actually on the weekend of Aug 1-2 (the Grgas's website needs to be updated, as it has the wrong date, as far as I can tell), according to the flyer they mailed me. I like this shoot... However, the "traditional" stakes are usually ridiculously close, and the long stakes are usually ridiculously long. I just shoot the long stakes and have fun missing... Or hitting. Whatever. It's a nice camp out and shoot with friends.
