Where's an easy place to post photos of points? |

PaleoPlanet doesn't make it simple, apparently. I subscribe to some auto forums and it's simple to post pics on those.

Just get a photobucket account and download pics there. When you want to post the pics, there is an icon to the left of the smiley icon. Click on it and it
will bring up photobucket. Then you can scroll through the different folders adn pick the one you want. Click on it and then just click on the pics. For
multiples, after the first pic appears in the post, hit the enter key a couple of times and click the next pic. You will probably have to log into photobucket
the first time. After that it should just pop up when you click the icon. Hope this helps.

I think photobucket coupled with the Paleoplanet set up is real easy.

Actually paleoplanets photohosting is really easy , just scroll to the top of this page click on images and make an album ... after that just click that album
and there is a link for uploading pics... when you reply to a post there are two buttons side by side on the top bar which load either paleoplanet or
photobucket images... easy enough?

There's also a free photo hosting service called "Imageshack." It's free and the last I looked you can keep an unlimited amount of photos
there.
I wish the photo thing was easier, but as we "rent" space here from Yuku, it's not really something I have control over. Tom |

Craig make sure you have two window open one on pp the the other on photobucket. Once it is uplaoded to photobucket go below the pic to the threee lines right
click until you see copy then left click the bottom line and it should turn yellow. Then go the pp and right click again until you see paste left click the
paste and it should load it up for you. Mike Smyth

My (main)problem is trying to navigate thru photobuckets advertizing blitz(they don't go away when you login). When I uploaded(from a new camera-WAY
different) to PB I didn't down-size them, and they were too big to post, SO, I went back to PB to re-size them. Can't do that because of a Stupid
advertizing block that I can't move out of the way, SO, I deleted all the images, and uploaded them again at the 800X600 size, THEN, when I clicked on
"insert image" on PP, up came the same BIG-A$$ images I had "deleted" in the first place!! Also, my secondary problem is this- You could
put what I know about computrs in your eye- and Never know it was there! And you wonder why I don't show more! Oh well! Thanks for the tips! Craig

Photobucket makes it way to easy. You upload your pic to photobucket, and it gets resized as needed. If you put your cursor over the pic it gives you a
pulldown. Go to the bottom option that says "IMG" and copy and paste the "computer tech words" that are in the block and paste them into
your "post" in Yuku. Way too easy. Just open a photobucket account. It works in just about every Board that I am a member of.
Ask of your men only that which you are willing to do yourself.

Craig, if you want, Email the pic to me and I'll put it up for you.
Don't forget also that every one of us has a photo album available right here in our Yuku account. Just look way up top of the screen next to your name for the word "Images." Click on that and it will take you to your photo album page. It's easy to upload photos there and when you're in the "Add Reply" box, it's easy o put a photo into a post. I've run into similar problems as described with photobucket, re old deleted images and new images conflicting. The solution was to change the file names.
Just adding a number or letter wasn't enough. Apparently, Photobucket is "sticky", and the old file names and new file names get all messed up.
So, if you delete an image to replace it with a similar one, change the file name.
Learning to post photos is the single biggest headache about PaleoPlanet. But if you sit down and beat your head against the wall long enough, you will get it figured out. Once you have it, it is fairly easy. Check out the tutorials in the Photo section. Ken |
