Posts: 446 (07/01/09 5:42 PM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	hey guys,i have a piece of osage that i just chased a ring on but i might have to cut my bow shorter that the stave. like 52" or 53" and the stave about 70" theres 2 knots close to the end on one end.. one knot on each side of the stave and they are ugly! each knot has been split down the center and you no how the branch goes down into the wood like a peg of sorts. anyway i plan on cutting it at 52 and a half.. wil this make a sufficent bow or is it to short? i dont plan on doing anything special except steam in some reflex at the handle, and back it. or wouald this length be better for a youth bow?
