Finnish primitive flight record smashed |

Last Saturday at the Kurala range in Turku, SW Finland bladesmith Markku Vilppola broke the Finnish primitive flight record with a shot of 320 yards. Markku
used a 54" sinew/juniper/osage flatbow pulling app. 75# (and his trademark top-notch barreled pine flight arrows, I guess) for the job. Hooray for Markku!

Congratulation for him! Hope will see some pics from the set he used! Do you know what kind of string he used and how long arrows?

Redhorse, I believe not, havn´t heard of any primitive or other flight shots in Sweden.

Perhaps we should try to arrange a northern flight-competition some time? Perhaps southern sweden would be a good location for all of Norway, Denmark, Sweden
and Finland to travel to? In a year or three?
