I have been to several websites and found a lot of different ways to tan snake skin, but no one can seem to agree on the best one. I have read to use salt,
then to never use salt, to use glycerin and rubbing alcohol, to never use glycerin because the glued skin won't stick to the wood, etc. So I thought I
would narrow it down to a specific purpose and see if someone who has done this before can give me some tips. I would like to back my Osage Orange self bow
with snake skin and I was wondering the best way to tan the skin for backing. I would really appreciate the info.
