Question on Ash Juniper Bow |

Has anyone built a bow using Ash Juniper, Juniperus ashei, which is the juniper found in the Texas Hill Country? If so then can you relate
your experience specifically with this species of juniper (not mountain juniper or any other species of juniper)? Or perhaps you might know someone who has
built a bow using ash juniper. If so could you please let me know how to contact them?

I just came over from PA looking at a bow made of that wood.
It aparently is a good bow wood, and is a good combination with sinew backing. Sean |

I've built one, a 50" bendy handle about 50# at 25". No backing, did good.
At PA ask for "Jackcrafty" he builds a lot from Ash Juniper. good luck, Donnie |
