Very nice, especially for your first. I tried bowmaking first then decided that I would go with the knives. I hated getting hit on the top of the head by a limb every few weeks! ;-) Good Job p.s. what's the wood

Slightly O/T but John, do you have any suggestions about how to waterproof rawhide sheaths that may be exposed to the elements (read: rain & snow) more than we'd like? Or am I just being paranoid in worrying about this?
