I am riding a bicycle almost exclusively this Summer.😀
Rain or shine excluding injury five kilometers a day before breakfast.
I have not lost an ounce of weight(still have the girth of worth)but
have gained considerable muscle mass. Fifteen inch biceps,
thirteen inch forearms,forty six in the chest,twenty four inch thighs and so on.
We won't discuss the waistline,thank you very much.😶
Here is the kicker though.
I am hyperextending one knee when walking.
Even when careful to keep it bent it feels unstable.
Checking on the net it seems rest keeping the knee bent
and icing are the standard solutions.
The second kicker is I am anything but a standard individual.
I am older in body than my age but younger in spirit than a youth.
when at rest I lose muscle mass much faster than I put it on.
I am thinking of isometrics while sitting cross legged and meditating.🤔
The mediating I can see being in a meditative state most of the time it is safe to do so.😊
When in a local nature preserve with no infernal combustion machines,
I bicycle singing like a mad Irishman😄while contemplating life and
communing with both Nature and local like minded individuals.
Come to think of it I do not think isometrics are advisable with knees completely bent.🤔
Varicose veins come to mind.
Any ideas as to what to do?
