I have a few nice BL staves that I cut and debarked earlier this year. I am cutting a few out to profile to help speed the drying process. I have always heard the you must remove the sap wood down to a growth ring like Osage...but, I really like the look and texture of the dried sap wood on this wood and was curious if anyone had built a bow WITH the sap wood left on? What are the possible negatives to leaving the sap wood on?
Thanks for the insight~
