We have been in a bit of a heatwave of late, and i fear that the shed has got too hot ,too quick!!...any advice, or is it a waste of time? Was looking forward to working on that one too. Cheers Keith

Thumper, I will try that... dwardo..I cant chase very far with this one, as the quarter stave doesnt allow much room for manouvre...unless i could make the belly slightly curved???...What do you think??

Posts: 7888 (07/03/09 12:11 PM) Administrator Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	Cracks that don't run off the side of the bow on the back are usually not considered fatal (until they are. Ha ha). You don't want them spreading, though. First thing I would try is soaking them in thin superglue, then clamping from the side. This has a pretty good chance of actually making them disappear. Be sure to protect the bow from the clamps so you don't dent it. If you don't succeed in gluing the cracks shut, the super glue will at least help stop the spread. Gary's suggestion will work very well at that point to keep the cracks from opening up... I am only suggesting that there is a chance you can close them first, and move on to the "Liquid Dutch Plug Method" (filling with sawdust and superglue) if that doesn't work. Ken
