I've been thinking of getting his flute making video: http://www.eriktheflutemaker.com/FluteMAkingDvd.html Does anyone have this video? Is it a good one? I want to learn to make flutes in different keys using different sized bamboo. Will this help me to work out formulas so that I can make concert tuned flutes with fairly good accuracy? Tom

He was a real nice guy to visit with. He had just got back in country from a trip somewhere. we are going to make the trade when he gets caught up a bit. Jim

Posts: 1042 (06/23/09 7:10 AM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	I got his video a while back. alot of good information on there. he describes how to do bamboo flutes all the way from harvesting, down to doing his different finshes. the way he has it set up , is you get a flute from him, and use it as a master. like i got one of his calypso flutes, and got 2 calypso flute blanks. im hoping to get one of his low irish flutes, and a couple blanks later this summer. his flute blanks are pretty reasonable too. i highly recomend his video, not only cause its good information, but i just love watching anything about natural flutes! Posts: 35 (06/23/09 10:22 AM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	Erik, is a very good friend of mine! i would recommend the video! his flutes are fantastic, hes the one who taught me to make flutes! yeah i went with him to Nicaragua in April. and he's leaving for an art show in the next week or two. Phil the low irish flute is exceptional, thats one i made last week while i was with him in Florida, he showed me everything from harvesting on his own property, to concert tuning! ANdrew
