Just outside of Goldsboro N.C. in northeastern Wayne county.

Come on out for primitive camping , flintknapping , cordage making , atlatl making/ throwing , wild cooking , edible /medicinal plant I.D snare sets , fishing etc...... This shin-dig is for the whole family and would love to see the kids involved .....We would like the main focus to be primitive survival but would like to see all aspects of survival techniques. Modern equipment is absolutely allowed, this is for anyone interested in bushcraft.
Everyone who would like to demonstrate or teach is a real bonus as we can all learn from each other.
If you have a specialty you would like show please feel free......especially primitive / wild cooking methods.
Please keep campsites simple since any kind of trailer or motorhome cant make it down the narrow paths ,especially after a good rain.(the farmer has plenty of tractors if we need one ) This is a designated wetland restoration area and can have some mudholes if it rains. The 2 acre campsite is on a sandy hill so it should be fine. Most all foot trails are along the tops of dikes and higher fields so we'll be ok there, dont worry.....theres plenty of high ground for exploring. The terrain ranges from old growth harwood ridges to swamp bottoms, thickets , canebreaks and open fields /meadows.
Come on out and play in the woods with us.
The owner ask that each participant sign a waiver for liability reasons.
