I have run a cross several natural outcroppings around here. Seriously, I like old glass I find in the river when I am searching for artifacts. You never know what colors you will come across. A lot of it is preally old stuff. One of the prettiest pieces I found was a reddish orange chunck of a tail light lense. It looked like a ruby when chipped to a little corner notch necklace. Jagermeister for green, others for brown. There used to be a martini bar that had some high end booze bottles in their recycle in the alley, I used to drive by and check every now and then. Bombay gin makes a really pretty little light blue point. Pete, nice vacumn tube point. I have only made one, but I like the material and how it looks. Best of all - it's free! Not to mention pretty good sized peices, and alot of them.

Plate glass, bottle glass and johnstone (in this case from a insulator tube, not a toilet). Plate glass Bottle bottoms Johnstone. The larger johnstone point is antler percussion only. The glass is highly leaded(many CRTs contain several pounds of lead). Also some of the phosphors contain heavy and other toxic metals. Don't handle them if it can be avoided.

When they tore out the bathroom I took the glass shelves out of the medicine cabinet and made points for the construction guys. After they dug out for the foundation I threw a point in the area that would be the crawl space to watch them freak out when they found it. They never did, so now one of my points is part of my house.
