Great pics Brad. Even though it has only been a little while, it already seems like fond memories of the past revisited.
I go to these things and meet all these wonderful people and can't remember half of their names but when you see their faces you remember the moments to a tee. Great times and great memories. I looked like you guys today. I harvested 8 8-12" 6fters of southern Kansas creek bottom osage. Had to haul them out on my shoulder half a log at a time about 200yds, but I got it done. I had ole buddy Bill Graham with me , he's pushing 70 so I did most of it but its good to have company when cutting trees just in case something goes awrey. I still have 4 more logs waiting on me tomorrow and then comes the fun part of getting them debarked and in the wood shed to wait their turn. I liked what you had to say about ergonomics and efficiencey of movements in your class. The whole sustainable lifestyle approach makes sense to me and everyday I move closer to fully intigrating it in every area of my life. I also think that it leads to a more intelligent discovery of what it takes to produce consistent excellence, regardless of the task. I was wearing a "No Cam Do" traditional bow hunters hat and I am from Derby,Ks. if that rings a bell. I know you only met a million people this week so I don't expect you to remember without a little memory aid. If you can believe it, we are expecting snow this weekend and thats only 70 miles north of where you were last weekend. Once again thanks for posting the pics. Danny

What fun! If I saw a pile of Osage logs that big, I don't think I'd know what to do with myself..... I'd probably just sit and stare with my jaw
dropped.

Those Wisconsin boys earned every stave they took home. They made me tired just watching them. Here is the rest of the story. They probably had 100 plus staves
that they were not taking home with them. They were selling them for nothing. $20.00 is the top price I saw. I saw them sell a van load of billets to an older
man for $50.00. Probably enough wood for twenty bows. And it is not over yet. They then gave 25% of the cash to the ojam gang to help cover expenses. Class all
the way. keith
