Manny, The bow's cool! The backing looks exotic and the recurved tips are awesome! I'm working on an osage for a friend, I was thinking I might go
for bailing twine on the handle wrap, after seeing your wrap, I'm definitely going to.

So what your saying is that you gave it some island Mojo. I agree your fades and shoulders are more graceful than what you descibed it looked like previously.
I think you will really like the osage. Nice adaptation on the backing as well. It would be nice to be able to have access to all the materials we want when
ever we capture a vision but sometimes we just have to reach for whats around us and come up with what is supposed to be. Danny

nice bow Manny. I'm guessing you made some surf boards of your own too? Don't know if I can send you snake skins from thailand but I could try
sometime. One python would do a lot of bows. I'm friends with guys at the snake farm where they filmed Rambo IV. It's just down the road from our fish
hatchery. Speaking of fish that would be interesting for you to experiment with some fish skins from some of the species in the waters around you. I've
read they make good backing too.

I am not very fond of these backing and handle wrap. But the whole work on that bow is nothing else than perfect.

WOW,WOW,....thanks a lot guys for the nice comments, they do mean a lot !
fusizoli, it's just plain cotton fabric (the thinner the better ) wetted down and stretched, than glued with TB III Gaur, funny but I never had the urge to craft surfboards, ..guess not that intersted to work with Glass Python makes the most beautiful backing I ever seen, lucky you you have it at hand ...I've being waiting to come across to some tiger shark skins, that would make a cool bow ...again, apreciate all the comments, thanks |

Shark skin like sand paper, should use that way too. Take care it could damage your naked skin , I'm not shure it good for bow's back.

Do you make the fades like 2" ?
Do you like them that long for feather clearance? I´m thinking about trying it because using big feathers on my handles can make them slap into the bow. |

LOL Rich, with my record of late pigs are sleeping safe
Griffin, I like my fades 2 1/2" ...it just looks good to me like that, the proportions just look rigth, .........I'm trying to get to the point where I can make a deep narrow handle that is sligthly bending,....haven't got there yet thanks David fusizoli, ...a little bit of sanding would make them skins as smooth as a baby's butt
