Does yew grow in Denmark now?
Did it grow there before the last ice age?
If "yes" to both these, at what date did it become re-established?
When was the end of the last ice age in the area?
Of course, it may be that , if yew was available in the area they did use it , but no yew bows have survived....
It may sound like I am obsessed with yew. I'm not. But most surviving European Stone age bows seem to be made out of it - exept the ones from denmark.
Is there a book I can read about any of this?
