a band saw would also work, probably better actually. just a good sharp hand saw would work just as well. really, getting the thing in half isnt the problem,
id say the main obsticle is carving it out. i posted on my buildalong the tool that i am using. ive also used the table saw and clamped a 2x4 at an angle to
the blade. although this can get pretty hairy if your not absolutely sure what you're doing. ive been using power tools like that since i was like 9 (my
father is a finish carpenter).
ive also heard of people using a chisel and just having the inside be kinda squairish. just a few ideas. im definately not an expert, shoot i wouldnt even call myself a novice, but these are some things ive picked up in my expirementing and research.
by the way, thats a pretty nice didge in the picture. i like the paint job especially. im considering doing some kinda dreamtime scheme on my new cedar one. but thats a ways down the road, i gotta get it carved out first!
