well, the bag going to michael isn't so fancy (though i did skin and work this hide).....but i know he is into quill work and probably doesn't get to
work on buckskin too often, so he's getting a bit of a blank slate and extra skin to create other things!!

I just got my bag from Michael Bootz and WOW is it ever nice! I'll have to post pictures later, but I at least wanted to say thanks and let him know it
arrived safely.
I'm still working on my contribution, so my apologies for the lateness. I'll be off work for two weeks after tomorrow, so hopefully I can finish it in just a few days' time and get it shipped. Dan |

Well, I got my bag a week or so ago, just haven't made time to post. And, right now, my photo program is wonky... but I got a mink-front pouch,
braintanned, with woven leather cord, and some of the neatest stichwork holding it together. Very well made. Many thanks to cody.
And Darby, yours is going in the mail tomorrow. I had to crash on another project (sword) until it was done and delivered, which happened today. I have one little addition going into it tonight, and it'll be in the mail. Sorry for my tardiness all around. |

Mine arrived from SW this lunchtime. My grandkids screamed at me to open it now because I was going to put the package under the tree until Christmas morning.
It's a lovely bag. Just perfect for my mountainman persona. I'll post photos when I get chance, but if SW has already taken some, feel free to put

Now...... that....... is a cool gift for a quillworker. Michael you will never go back to using commercial leather again. I can remember doing sewn work on the
first braintan I got years ago... I never looked at commercial leather as leather again. I also realized I needed to learn to make it myself. Quills

All,
I have been struggling with too many projects at the same time, so in order to be fair to Snakewood I have arranged for me to step out of the trade and I will forward Michael Bootz's bag to Snakewood. It's a very cool bag - much better than I could have made for Snakewood - and this will help to free up my guilty conscience for not finishing a project on time. This is the very reason why I'm normally reticent to join in trades. I'm thinking, however, that maybe I should just make up some bags ahead of time so all I have to do is decorate them and ship them out. Dan |

This is the saddlebag I received from Eric. I finally got around to taking some pics, and the flash pretty much covered the horse tooling that he put on the
flap. He also included straps to wear it on a belt and a firesteel. That thing really throws some sparks. Thanks alot Eric, this one will be on my side at
the next rendezvous.

Unfortunately the beautiful bag Ilania made for me has yet to show, as it must be held up in Customs
 somewhere. Ilania has tried to help track it down for me and I am grateful for both
her efforts in making the bag and trying to help find it.I have my fingers crossed that it will arrive soon.
