While I am waiting on my birch to dry I made this Hickory board bow. Its 68" ntn, 1 3/4 wide at fades, 1/2 tips, maple handle, and pulls 52 lbs at
28". The grain was kinda questionable so I backed it with linen, then managed to put a big scratch across the back so I thought I would try some silk over
the linen. Looks different but I like it. The handle wrap is some crab pot mending line. I forgot that it turns translucient when wet. As it turns out it looks
kinda cool being able to see the wood grain underneath.
I am gonna trade the bow to a good friend for a fur hat he made. I think I got the better part of the deal
