Hey folks, I'm just completely new to this archery thing (I've been hanging out over at the Primitive Bows section but then I realized I'm gonna
need some arrows too, haha!) so I wondered, first of all, what does "spine" mean and how does one do it for arrows meant for a particular bow.

Many thanks if you can help me out here!

The arrows in the test kit are already rear nocked, fletched, stained, sealed and crested...

Rod,

Wolfshead is a great shoot. 18 targets in a steeply sloping wood, and 18 out on the open moor, all cunningly laid out.

I was a member there until I recently left to form another club, so I will be shooting there at their next shoot on 22nd. Feb.

Be good to meet up.

Alan,
The width at the pass is what creates the degree of centreshot.
I will add a note to this effect.

The factor that was omitted, as you were quick to observe, was brace height.
I guess you must be close to Wolfshead at Robin Hood's Bay.

I was thinking about going to a shoot there.

Rod,

In a sense SDT is also correct when he says degree of centre shot.
Arrow match-up to one of my longbows is quite critical. ( I made them from soft English yew and they are wide in the handle)
Arrow match-up to my almost centre shot flatbow is much easier to achieve. Once I have an arrow that is stiff enough to shoot straight, a slightly stiffer
arrow will still shoot straight.
So I have more leeway. As a practical example, I can match up a new set of arrows using...
