So, when can we start talking about and getting excitied about Bulgaria Euro Paleo Gathering 2010?
I have my airfare and hopefully the accomodation costs saved and I just need to book the airfare!!
Will it be possible?
Will it be two weeks?
Will it be in the same place?
Will it be the same time of year?
Will British Airways let me take a bigger bow tube?

Day by day I read this forum and I hope to see some pictures from Bulgaria that Ken did it this summer . I hope that every day. I think my hopes will die soon!

Just finished these things from the Euromeet and thought I would post them, the awl is made from one of the bike spokes we had and the sewing palm was kindly supplied by Eric, I just stitched it and added the casing to aid pushing the needle. Now I can finish my flask, and sheath. My un-finished stave sits in the corner admonishing me every time I look at it, but it is number 5 on the unfinished bows so it will have to wait, it's turn, after the beadwork, birch handle for the knife,...

Tim from New Zealand spend one more week in Bulgaria after the gathering. He traveled in south Bulgaria few days, last Friday he arrived in Sofia again and was our dear guest for a while. The guy in the leather shop in Tryavna gave me a web address which I've just now had the chance to look at.

2009 Group Photos From Bulgaria

Here's the two group photos we were able to get from this year's Euromeet in Bulgaria.

The first photo was taken at Nickopolis near the River Istrum, where we joined a Bulgarian re-enactment group, dressed up in kirtles and leather kit courtesy of Iliana and Eric, and which many of us also helped prepare a little. Unfortunately, Eric was very ill the morning we left for Nickopolis, and was unable to attend the event he had prepared so hard for! We were very disappointed...

Euromeet 2009 is over again. What a shame! I am positive everyone of the contestants enjoyed it very much. We had so much to do, so much to see, so much to talk about. We had fun every day, often continued working till sunset. Good laughs during dinner, emotions when we heard about what happened to Iliana's father. Made new friends, and met "old" friends from last year's Euromeet. I am already looking forward to any future Euromeets, but let's not get ahead of things....
