I have been planning this project for months, and working on it for over a month. It is my first sword (short sword, but hey, this thing is wicked).

			<description><![CDATA[ <p>This is a set of steak knives I did back in August. They were commissioned by a guy for whom I worked for a year as a gift for his father&#39;s 70th
birthday party. One knife per decade. I made these in about two weeks.</p>

<p>I don&#39;t really care for the design (it was the customer&#39;s), but I am pleased that it came out actually looking like a set instead of just seven

			<description><![CDATA[ I made  this little blade in a day over the thanksgiving holiday.  The steel was from a reciprocating saw, so i shaped it and kept it cool.  I was worried it
might be a bi-metal blade, but it doesnt appear to be so ( accidently wacked it on a nail head and it did no damage to the edge).  Blades 4 1/2&quot; long

			<description><![CDATA[ <p>I made my first knife blank 3 weeks ago from a farriers rasp, it did not get hard.  Don&#39;t like to talk about it much.  However, I finally got through
the heat treat this weekend and actually made a knife.  This one is made by stock removal from an anealed nicholson file quenched in 140 deg peanut oil.  The
scales are home made demin and canvas micarta.  The pins are stainless steel welding rod.  The lanyard hole is some stainless tubing I scavenged from the fuel

Here is a new project I&#39;m working on.  Its an antique Collins machete.  I&#39;m doing is cutting off the old handle and putting on a new one.  The spines
get polished, and the edge gets a redo.  (All the way back to the handle for me please.)  The handle gets a rough grippy finish.  I did add a lanyard tube.

			<description><![CDATA[ Hello all.  Well I finally got hard.  This was just a simple blade I threw together, nothing special. 1095, 3/16&quot; thick, 1.5&quot; wide and around 8.5
oal.   I did&#39;nt want to go all out on another blade just to have it break again.  I normalized three times, with very little warpage, straightend it a
little bit, then normalized it again.  Brought up to colors and then quenched in straight water (admiral steel suggestion).  No breakage or cracking.  I guess
