			<title><![CDATA[ Fat Normanskill Genesee ]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[ Unseasonably warm today in Western New York. A little porch sitting turned out a Genesse from some Normanskill. I knocked a large flake off a 17 pound piece of
Normanskill then roughed out a preform with my rocker punch lap board set, then pressure flaked this Genesee. The shine and depth of color comes to this dull
rock from a rub with silicone dielectric grease.

			<title><![CDATA[ Onondaga Genesee Point ]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[ After seeing the 2 Onondaga chert points posted earlier I was so inspired I went right out to my workshop and grabbed a chunk of Onondaga and made this Genesee
Point in about 45 minutes. Genny&#39;s are my all time favorite point to make and when they are made out of Onondaga it doesn&#39;t get any better than this.
This piece worked very well and I would put it on the same workability as  Burlington Chert or some raw Texas cherts. Once I finished the piece I left it in
vinegar for about 3... ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ I recently bought some Diamond Wood from Hut to use as knife handles for some of my forged knives.  When I took the 10 inch long 2 x 2 block and put it onto
the lathe, I realized just how hard and solid this stuff is.  I think it&#39;s a little harder than moose billet.  I bought two 10 x 2 x 2 inch pieces of
Diamond Wood for 18 bucks a piece.  It was really hard and took forever on the lathe.  I think I am going to turn one down like some of the dogwood billets

			<description><![CDATA[ My kids have always been interested in what I do but seems more so this year then ever, so I took them out to my shop and left them bang on some rocks. 
Taylor has been knapping longer than the boys and has made a few points.  The boys seem to just do it naturally, maybe picked it up from just watching me. 
Here is the three of them having a blast.  Michael on the left, Everrett in the middle, and Taylor on the right.

			<description><![CDATA[ I&#39;ve been trying to get over some tendinitis in my right arm for about 3 weeks due to a knapping injury I received using a huge moose antler billet on a
tough piece of raw Texas chert, so today it felt pretty good and I went out to my 40 degree workshop and chipped out this Keokuk Hardin to see if I was back.
Its not the best point I ever made but it didn&#39;t come out too bad for being a little out of practice. This is one of my favorite point types so it felt
