First timer here.. I recently came into possession of an old Trappers basket made with what I believe to be split oak slats. They are 1 and a quarter inches
wide and less than an 1/8th of an inch thick and about 45 inches long.

The Basket&#39;s bottom is in pretty sad shape and I thought I might try to either rebuild the basket or build a new one from scratch. But first I need a
source to go to for the slats themselves...

Normanskill then roughed out a preform with my rocker punch lap board set, then pressure flaked this Genesee. The shine and depth of color comes to this dull
rock from a rub with silicone dielectric grease.
